Field Farms is located just outside of the historical, charming, country town of Petrolia ( http://town.petrolia.on.ca/) Field Farms Ltd. was founded in 1998 after the purchase of a 300-acre farm with cash crop and a livestock operation in Petrolia.  The livestock operation underwent some major changes and has grown since then to a fair sized operation. In 2006, the livestock operation was converted into a “Certified Humane and Natural” operation and all meat produced since are Certified Humane and Natural. The farm operation provides a livelihood to 6 – 8 families plus contract work to a number of local contractors. Over the course of the years, cash crop land has been converted into certified organic land.

In 2004, Field Farms Marketing was added to the operation for all marketing needs of Field Farms Ltd. as well as other local farmers. Since then, the operation has expanded to service the needs of both organic and conventional farmers within and outside the local area.

2007 brought the introduction of Sara’s Natural; this new expansion allows Field Farms Ltd. to offer our Naturally Humane Raised and Handled Pork products directly.
